If a steering system receives a signal containing travel information from a traveling vehicle in order to control a steering apparatus for the vehicle, the steering system is configured to determine whether the vehicle goes straight based on the travel information within the received signal and a value of a sensor which is stored in advance. The steering system receives a CAN signals from the vehicle if the vehicle goes straight on, and determines whether the apparatus is being operated by a driver by confirming that the CAN signal contains flags about the apparatus operated by the driver. If the apparatus is operated, the present invention controls the steering apparatus by generating a control signal for the steering control of the vehicle. |
