<p>A library device which unlocks an interlock through a simple structure and a controlling method of the library device are provided. A cell accommodates a plurality of magnetic tapes. A transporting apparatus manages transportation of the magnetic tapes accommodated in the cell. An interlock switch cam (83) moves in a predetermined direction when pressure by a door closure (61) inside thereof is removed. An interlock switch (200) cuts electric power supply to the transporting apparatus when the interlock switch cam (83) moves in the predetermined direction. An unlock button (101) receives a direction from an operator, moves in a moving passage of the interlock switch cam (83), and prevents the movement of the interlock switch cam (83) in the predetermined direction.</p> |
