PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional image reader that when a plurality of files are created from the image data of a series of manuscripts that has been read, for the convenience of a user, the user generally divides the manuscripts in advance and then performs reading a plurality of times, but it is time-consuming.SOLUTION: An image reader comprises: a reading unit 11 for reading a series of manuscripts and creating image data in units of page; a thumbnail creation unit 12 for creating the thumbnail of the image data; a delimiter position specification unit 16 for selecting one or more image data; a file creation unit 17 for collecting and filing the image data thus selected; a file size calculation unit 14 for calculating the file size; a display unit 15 for displaying the thumbnail, selection state, and file size; and a determination button 55. When a selection is determined by the determination button 55, the file creation unit 17 files the image data selected by the position of delimiter specification unit 16. |
