PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer periphery processing device for workpiece capable of finishing outer periphery grinding of a plate glass preferably, capable of performing optimal outer periphery processing even to a material having a wane or winding, capable of reducing processing time and wear of a grindstone by reducing cutting stock of the workpiece, and in addition, capable of inspecting material quality.SOLUTION: The outer periphery processing device is configured to continuously image whole periphery of an outer periphery or plural peripheral areas of a material carried on a table of the device and detect an inner edge of the outer periphery of the workpiece on the basis of the images. Correction value calculation means calculates a correction value so that cutting stock becomes even over the whole periphery of the workpiece and cutting amount becomes the smallest amount, and so that defect can be cut for enabling processing of the product when the defect such as a wane or winding is detected on the outer periphery of the material on the basis of an error (deviation) between outer peripheries of the product and the material. |
