<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing degradation in fan efficiency and achieving lower power consumption even if the number of impellers constituting a fan element closest to the motor of a cross flow fan is smaller than those of impellers constituting the other fan elements.SOLUTION: An air conditioner of the present invention comprises an indoor unit that includes: a heat exchanger exchanging heat with indoor air; a cross flow fan configured so that a plurality of fan elements are coupled to one another in an axial direction, and blowing the indoor air after being subjected to heat exchange with the heat exchanger; a motor arranged on one end of the cross flow fan and driving the cross flow fan; and a guide vane installed on a suction side of the cross flow fan, and guiding the indoor air subjected to heat exchange with the heat exchanger to the cross flow fan. The cross flow fan is configured so that the number of impellers of a motor-side fan element closest to the motor among the plurality of fan elements is smaller than those of impellers of the fan elements other than the motor-side fan, and the guide vane is installed on the suction side of the motor-side fan element.</p> |
