PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network communication device that can reduce loss of a transmission object such as a packet by stabilizing a communication state if a redundant packet was added to a packet that was transmitted and arrived via an IP network.SOLUTION: An IP gateway unit 62 comprised in a multifunction machine 10 determines whether or not a redundant packet added to a received IFP packet indicates a facsimile control signal (S31), determines whether the redundant packet is a final packet (S33) if it indicates the control signal, and deletes the redundant packet from the IFP packet (S34) if it is the final packet.
