PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of securing sealability by optimizing clearance between a protective cover and a peripheral component/region, and improving accuracy and reliability in detecting a rotating speed.SOLUTION: A fitting face 17 is formed on an end inner periphery of an outer member 2 through a shoulder portion 2d, a fitting portion 10a of a protective cover 10 is press-fitted to the fitting face 17, an opening end portion of the fitting portion 10a of the protective cover 10 and the shoulder portion 2d of the outer member 2 are positioned and fixed with a distance A, an opening end portion of a cylindrical portion 13a of a supporting ring 13 and a rolling element 3 are positioned and fixed with a distance C, and a bottom portion 10e of the protective cover 10 and an end face of a caulking portion 7 are positioned with a prescribed distance B. The distances A and C are determined to be longer than the distance B (A, C>B), and the distance C is determined to be longer than the distance A (C>A). |
