Provided is a terminal device in which a change to a terminal device setting like that which is made when continuously blocking the automatic rotation function of a screen is not required in order to temporarily block the automatic rotation function of the screen. An inclination detection unit (20) detects the inclination of the terminal device. A screen rotation unit (24) rotates the screen when the inclination state of the terminal device that is detected by the inclination detection unit (20) becomes a predetermined state. A captured image acquisition unit (26) acquires an image captured by an image capture unit for capturing an image of a user who is viewing the screen. A comparison unit (28) compares an image captured by the image capture unit prior to when the inclination state of the terminal became the predetermined state with an image captured by the image capture unit either at the time when the inclination state of the terminal became the predetermined state or thereafter. A blocking unit (30) blocks the rotation of a screen by the screen rotation unit (24) on the basis of the comparison result of the comparison unit (28).
