The present invention makes a proposal on a case hardening steel which exhibits excellent forgeability even at low temperature and which exhibits excellent fatigue strength after carburizing treatment. A case hardening steel that has a composition which consists of appropriate components and in which the quantities of Si, Cr and Mn added are appropriately controlled and that exhibits excellent cold forgeability and excellent fatigue strength by virtue of the composition. |
