[Problem] To provide a technology that can increase the adhesion of a soft layer. [Solution] This sliding member and slide bearing are provided with: a base layer such that, in a matrix, soft particles configured from a soft material that is softer than the matrix have been precipitated; and a soft layer formed on the surface of the base layer by means of the same soft material as the soft particles. The soft layer contains an epitaxial growth section resulting from epitaxial growth of the soft material from the soft particles. |
