The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide: a paper cup having an embossing process for an irregular surface applied to the outer circumference thereof, wherein the paper cup has a structure such that individual cups are easily removed and ink applied on the outer circumference of the paper cup does not disappear even when the paper cups are stacked, and for which a die for a paper cup to which this kind of embossing process is applied can be easily created; and a manufacturing method for the paper cup. As a means for addressing the problem, in a manufacturing method for a paper cup in which an embossing process is applied to an outer sleeve wound about the outer circumference of the inner cup that is formed into an inverted circular truncated cone, linear concave portions formed at intervals in the height direction and width direction on the surface of the outer sleeve and convex portions each of which is formed by being surrounded on four sides by the linear concave portions are arranged so as to alternate as the embossing process, and the height of each convex portion is formed so as to gradually decrease from the top of the outer sleeve, which is wound around the outer circumference of the inner cup, to the bottom of the outer sleeve. |
