摘要 <p>Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the invention align lens stack arrays with arrays of focal planes to increase sampling diversity of the cameras in the resulting array camera modules. In one embodiment, a method for aligning a lens stack array with a sensor that includes a plurality of focal planes includes: initially aligning the lens stack array relative to the sensor; varying the spatial relationship between the lens stack array and the sensor so as to create at least two optical channels that each reflect a different central viewing and that can allow sub-pixel shifted images to be captured by their respective focal planes; selecting a spatial relationship between the lens stack array and the sensor that can provide a desired extent of variety of sub-pixel shifted images; and affixing the lens stack array and the sensor in the selected spatial relationship.</p>
