PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of improving the operability in the case of displaying part of a moving image with magnification. SOLUTION: In the case of displaying part of a reproduced image with magnification, a switch 9 is connected to a position of a terminal A, a liquid crystal monitor 6 of the imaging apparatus displays an image to which a selection frame denoting a magnified area is attached, and on the other hand an external TV monitor 7 displays an image subjected to magnification processing by a special effect circuit 3a. Since a user can easily confirm an extended area by the selection frame displayed on the liquid crystal monitor 6, the user can trace a moving object without missing it and can view the magnified image by the external TV monitor 7.
