PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous ink composition for inkjet recording which can suppress generation of irregular aggregation of an image while being excellent in discharge stability and can record an image excellent in wear resistance while being excellent in glossiness and to provide an inkjet recording method using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a nonaqueous ink composition for inkjet recording which comprises: color material, 5 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less content of lactone; 5 mass% or more and 18 mass% or less of content of a first solvent which has a vapor pressure at 20°C of 2 hPa or more and 2 mass% or more and 80 mass% or less content of a second solvent which has a vapor pressure at 20°C of 0.9 hPa or more, wherein the total content of the first solvent and the second solvent is 20 mass% or more and the second solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a (poly)alkylene glycol monoalkyl ether and a (poly)alkylene glycol dialkyl ether.
