The present invention relates to a method and system for providing an application update service and the method according to the present invention includes: transmitting, by an update server, download policy information for updating an application to a user terminal; and using, by the update server, the download policy information and unique information on a user terminal to enable an updated file of an application to be downloaded to a user terminal that accesses at a predetermined time. According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent heavy traffic from occurring when the user terminal performs an update on an application. |
