There is provided an information processing device including an image acquisition unit configured to acquire an input image of a real space captured with an imaging device, a user interface unit configured to display the input image on a screen of a display device and detect a designated position designated by a user on the screen, a computation unit configured to compute a three-dimensional position of a virtual object in an augmented reality space from the designated position detected by the user interface unit, and an authoring unit configured to associate the three-dimensional position of the virtual object computed by the computation unit with the virtual object to store the three-dimensional position in a storage medium. |

1. An information processing device comprising:
a data acquisition unit configured to acquire model data representing a feature of an appearance of each of one or more real objects in a real space; an image acquisition unit configured to acquire an input image of the real space captured with an imaging device; a recognition unit configured to recognize a position and an attitude of each real object in the real space in the input image by checking the input image against the model data; a user interface unit configured to:
display the input image on a screen of a display device; anddetect a user input on the screen a contact face of a real object in the input image, a contact position on the contact face in the input image, and an offset distance value; a computation unit configured to compute a three-dimensional position of a virtual object in an augmented reality space based on the contact face and contact position input by the user on the screen, wherein a position of a reference point in the augmented reality space is offset by the offset distance value from the contact position in a first normal line perpendicular to the contact face; and an authoring unit configured to associate the three-dimensional position of the virtual object computed by the computation unit with the virtual object to store the three-dimensional position in a storage medium. |
