PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively extract copper and/or lead from an acidic solution containing high concentration of manganese and the like.SOLUTION: The valuable metal extraction agent is represented by the general formula. In the formula, Rand Rrepresent identical or different alkyl groups, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or any group other than an amino group, which binds to α carbon as an amino acid. The general formula preferably has a glycine unit, a histidine unit, a lysin unit, an aspartic acid unit or a normal-methyl glycine unit. The pH of an acidic solution is preferably adjusted at 1.0 to 5.5 when copper and/or lead is extracted by using the extraction agent. |
