PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce lines corresponding to a region setup of a patterned phase difference film, which shows up when viewing two-dimensional images on a passive-type image display device.SOLUTION: A phase difference film 1, having first and second regions A, B alternately arrayed in sequence to give different phase differences to transmitting light, includes a first phase difference layer 4 and a second phase difference layer 5, each having a positive wavelength dispersion property, sequentially formed on a transparent base material. Either the first or the second phase difference layer 4 or 5, is a 1/4 wavelength plate phase difference layer for giving a phase difference of 1/4 wavelength to transmitting light, and either the second or the first phase difference layer 5 or 4, is a 1/2 wavelength plate phase difference layer for giving a phase difference of 1/2 wavelength to transmitting light. |
