APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HUMAN POSE ESTIMATION

An apparatus and a method for human pose estimation are provided. The human pose estimation apparatus builds a MESS skeleton for a depth image representing a human body object and builds a PIXLA skeleton of at least one candidate body part of the human body object. The human pose estimation apparatus performs part assumption for the body parts and determines the human pose by evaluating the pose estimation according to the evaluation criteria for the pose.
