The present invention relates to a method for treating sulfuric acid waste liquid and, more particularly, to a method for treating sulfuric acid waste liquid, in which purity of gypsum produced as a by-product is increased so that the gypsum may be recycled. The present invention provides a method for treating the sulfuric acid waste liquid containing sulfuric acid and heavy metals by producing gypsum as a by-product, the method being characterized by pre-treating the sulfuric acid waste liquid to remove heavy metals; and forming gypsum. The present invention produces high-purity gypsum as a by-product, thereby solving environmental problems caused by contaminated gypsum which is typically produced as a by-product and reducing costs in treatment of the contaminated gypsum. |
