PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to avoid link disconnection due to discard of a frame in the middle of transmission at the transition from a start state to a sleep state during operation in a power saving mode.SOLUTION: The invention is a power control device of a communication device comprising frame transmission control means for performing transmission control of a frame to be transmitted to an opposite device, and optical transmission means for transmitting an optical signal including a frame transmitted from the frame transmission control means. The power control device is characterized by comprising power control means that at least performs power supply control of an optical transmission function of the optical transmission means and periodically repeats an awake state and a sleep state of the optical transmission function, monitors the transmission state of a frame at the frame transmission control means at the transition from the awake state to the sleep state, and shifts the optical transmission function to the sleep state after the completion of transmission of a frame if the transmission of the frame is not completed. |
