<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall capable of easily assembling a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall within a grooved cooling water flow passage.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for assembling a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall characterized in that there is provided a contact surface contacted to a wall surface of a grooved cooling water flow passage of the cylinder bore wall of a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, a location forming the contact surface is made of elastomer or resin material, friction reducing agent is coated or pasted to the contact surface of the heat insulation member of the cylinder bore wall, the heat insulation member of the cylinder bore wall is put into the grooved cooling water flow passage and then the heat insulation member of the cylinder bore wall is assembled into the grooved cooling water flow passage.</p> |
