PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relate to a pharmacologically acceptable salt of bupropion, preferably to a bupropion hydrochloride modified-release tablet.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a bupropion hydrochloride modified-release tablet which contains (i) a core containing an effective amount of bupropion hydrochloride, a binder, and a lubricant, and (ii) a controlled-release coat enclosing the core, and (iii) a moisture barrier layer enclosing the controlled-release coat; and is biologically equivalent to Wellbutrin (R) or Zyban (R)/Wellbutrin (R) SR tablet.
