PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus configured to reduce fixing temperature to be set, and to respond to a change in paper type by slightly changing the set temperature.SOLUTION: (1) In an electrophotography fixing apparatus, a fixing rotation body and a pressure roller are arranged at a fixed distance, and the fixing rotation body includes a layer having a gap and an elastic body containing carbon fiber. Nip pressure is controlled by setting temperature according to paper type. (2) the electrophotography fixing apparatus described in (1) is configured to hold the fixing rotation body by a pair of rigid members, and to control the nip pressure with gas temperature in the gap. (3) The electrophotography fixing apparatus described in (1) or (2) is configured so that a base body of the fixing rotation body is a heat resistant resin film or a metal belt. |
