PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video summary device capable of generating a summary video to suppress increases in hardware resources and calculation costs.SOLUTION: Provided is a video summary device for generating a summary video from a video, the video summary device comprising: a graph construction unit for representing, on the basis of similarity between a video section and another video section constituting the video, a video by a graph in which one video section is a node and similarity between the nodes is an edge; a query extraction unit for extracting, from among a group of nodes constituting the graph, a query node which is the start point of graph division; a graph division processing unit for dividing, using the query node as the start point, a graph by generating a sub-graph configured from a node near the query node; a cluster generation unit for generating a cluster which joins the sub-graphs having a high degree of duplication together; a typical node extraction unit for extracting a typical node from among the nodes constituting the cluster; and a summary video output unit for generating a summary video by using the video section corresponding to the typical node and for outputting the generated summary video. |
