Tracer based flow measurement

Tracer based flow measurement comprising releasing a tracer into a production tubing 10 in accordance with a pressure differential between the production tubing and an annulus 3. There may be a tracer chamber 20 for installation in a production tubing 10. The tracer chamber can be linked to pressure in the annulus. The tracer reservoir 20 may comprise an outlet for fluid communication between the tracer chamber 20 and the fluid the tubing 10. The tracer chamber may have an open connection to the annulus to permit contact of the annulus fluid with the tracer. The tracer chamber 20 may have a fluid transfer device (FIG 3 & 4). The fluid transfer device may be a piston or membrane. A tracer measurement device may measure tracer concentration downstream of the tracer chamber.
