The present invention relates to a method for dehydrating polyol and, more specifically, to a method for dehydrating polyol which can obtain high dehydration conversion rate, selectivity, and yield without corrosion with a simple process by using a solid acid catalyst obtained by reacting transition metal oxide and sulfuric acid. The method for dehydrating polyol comprises the steps of: a) mixing polyol and a solid acid catalyst represented by chemical formula 1; b) dehydrating the mixture of the formal step by heating; and c) cooling, separating, and drying the reaction material of the b) step and obtaining a product.
