Disclosed is an apparatus for preventing foreign matters of a deflector roll and the slip of a strip. To this end, the present invention includes an auxiliary driving roll unit (100) making contact with a lower end portion of a deflector roll (10) to rotate more rapidly than the rotational speed of the deflector roll (10) so that the rotational force is transferred to the deflector roll (10) to allow the moving speed of a strip moving along the deflector roll (10) to be equal to the rotational speed of the deflector roll (10), thereby preventing the slip of the strip; and a driving unit (200) for moving back and forth the auxiliary driving roll unit (100) so that the auxiliary driving roll unit (100) selectively makes contact with the lower end portion of the deflector roll (10). |
