<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current cutoff device that does not need a charging circuit for charging a capacitor and allows reducing mechanical stress to the capacitor by charging the capacitor only when an accident occurs.SOLUTION: A current cutoff device 10 includes: a circuit breaker 1; a first switch 3 connected to a downstream-system-side terminal of the circuit breaker 1; and a current-limiting device 4 and a capacitor 6 each connected in parallel to the first switch 3. The current cutoff device 10 further includes: a second switch 5 disposed between a downstream-system-side terminal of the current-limiting device 4 and a downstream-system-side terminal of the capacitor 6; and a third switch 8 and a reactor 7 connected in series, disposed between an upstream-system-side terminal of the circuit breaker 1 and the downstream-system-side terminal of the capacitor 6.</p> |
