PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate drive circuit that reduces a turn-on switching loss.SOLUTION: The gate drive circuit for driving a gate terminal of a transistor to be driven which has a drain terminal, a source terminal and the gate terminal includes: an input terminal to be fed with a driving signal; an output terminal for outputting a gate driving signal to the transistor to be driven; a first voltage generation circuit for generating a first voltage equal to or higher than an on threshold voltage of the transistor to be driven; a second voltage generation circuit for generating a second voltage lower than the on threshold voltage; a third voltage generation circuit for generating a third voltage higher than the second voltage and lower than the on threshold voltage; and a timing generation circuit for generating a changeover timing signal a preset time after a driving signal input timing. The second voltage and the first voltage are output to the output terminal when the driving signal becomes a low level and when the driving signal becomes a high level, respectively, and the third voltage is output to the output terminal in response to the changeover timing signal. |
