PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of producing a hydroxyapatite porous body having high porosity in a small number of steps.SOLUTION: A production method comprises the steps of: preparing a slurry or pasty mixture comprising raw material particles containing tricalcium phosphate particles, and a solvent; applying the mixture on a substrate 2, thereby forming a compact 1; and subjecting the compact 1 to steam treatment in a gas phase.
