The present invention relates to a flame retardant coating composition for an expanded polystyrene foam containing 60-90 parts by weight of polyvinylalcohol aqueous solution whose solid is 5-30 wt%; 10-40 parts by weight of silicate alkoxide compounds; 3-19.5 parts by weight of polymerization initiators; 16-49 parts by weight crosslinking agents; 11-44 parts by weight of micaceous geopolymer powder whose fineness is 3,000-5,000 cm^2/g; and 11-44 parts by weight of expandable graphite. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the flame retardant coating composition for an expanded polystyrene foam, an expanded polystyrene foam insulation applied to the composition, and a sandwich panel including the insulation. |
