PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle making it possible to allow a railway vehicle to travel without being restricted by wiring or ambient facilities and to suppress an increase in size of a power conversion device.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle of an embodiment includes: plural power supplies (a single-phase alternating-current power supply 10; a direct-current power supply 20; an electric generator power supply 30, and a plug-in power supply 40) that feed different powers; a power supply switching unit 900 (90, 91, 92, etc.) connected to the power supplies; a converter chopper circuit 50 that is connected to the power supply switching unit 900, has a converter function and a chopper function, and includes intermediate switches 51 (51a to 51f); a power storage device 60 that is connected to the converter chopper circuit 50 and stores powers fed from the power supplies 10, 20, 30, and 40; and an inverter 70 that uses the power fed from the power storage device 60 to drive a load. |
