PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life image forming apparatus capable of extending the life of an image carrier and stabilizing cleaning performance while reducing the size and cost of the apparatus without providing a lubricant application device, and maintaining high image quality.SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 10 has a surface layer containing fine particles. A cleaning blade 62 has an edge layer having a 100% modulus value at 23°C of 6 MPa or more, and a back-up layer having a 100% modulus value lower than that of the edge layer, which form a two-layer laminated structure. A charging roller 41 is applied with a DC voltage. A developing device 50 uses a toner that contains zinc stearate as an external additive, the zinc stearate having a total isolation rate of 25% or less, and a weak adhesion ratio of 20 to 50%; and contains a fatty acid metal salt in an amount of 0.05 to 0.15 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of toner base particles. |
