The present invention relates to a dynamometric conveying-separating device that can be coupled to a machine, in particular to a sugarcane harvester, and can convey and separate billets from straw, triturate the straw uniformly and determine the mass flow rate of the harvested material. Said device can transfer the sugarcane billets to a transport vehicle, at the same time as the straw is separated, triturated and then transferred to the transport vehicle, allowing a greater transport load density to be achieved and hence reducing costs and contributing to the re-use of straw for energy generation. The present invention further relates to a method for transferring billets and straw from a sugarcane harvester to a transport vehicle, using said device.
