<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an LED element which has high light-extraction efficiency while ensuring spreading of a current which flows in a luminescent layer.SOLUTION: An LED element 1 has on a support substrate 11, semiconductor layers 30 including an n-type nitride semiconductor layer 35, a luminescent layer 33, and a p-type nitride semiconductor layer 31; a conductive first translucent layer 41 formed on a whole area of the semiconductor layer 30; electrodes 45 formed on the first translucent layer 41; and a second translucent layer 43 formed on the first translucent layer 41 at least in a partial region of a place where the electrodes 45 are not formed, in which the second translucent layer 43 is composed of a material having a refractive index lower than that of the first translucent layer 41 and higher than that of air.</p> |
