The invention concerns a method for fixing a cutter bit, where a clampable cutter bit 4 is turned in situ in relation to a cutter position 3. The turning is carried out in such a way, that the cutter part 4 is basically subjected only to one turning movement, without any damaging forces upwards or downwards. The invention considers also a tool for fixing the cutter bit, which tool incorporates devices for turning the clampable cutter bit 4 in order to fix it in the cutter position 3 designed for this purpose. In accordance with another advantageous embodiment, the cutter bit 4 has been adapted to be turned about the cutter position's 3 rotational centre point 5. <IMAGE> |
