PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a roller having an elastic foaming body roller part and a shaft part which is reduced in the number of processes, and the roller which is obtained by the method.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a roller 50 having an elastic foaming body roller part 21 and a shaft part 13 includes: a process in which a sticking protrusion 12 of a shaft material 10 having a rod-shaped part 11 and the sharp shape sticking protrusion 12 at one end of the rod-shaped part is stuck into one end face in the longitudinal direction of a rod-shaped elastic foaming body 20, and made to penetrate an end face of the other, and the shaft material 10 is made to penetrate the elastic foaming body 20 so that the rod-shaped part 11 is protruded from both end faces of the longitudinal direction of the elastic foaming body 20; a process in which the shaft part 13 is formed by removing the sticking protrusion 12 of the shaft material 10; and a process in which the roller part 21 is formed by grinding the elastic foaming body 20 into a substantially-columnar shape. There is also provided the roller manufactured by the method. |
