WINDING APPARATUS WITH A SUPPORT ARM

A winding apparatus 10 includes first and second frame members 12A and 12B. A shaft 16 is rotatably mounted to the first and second frame members 12A and 12B. One or more arms 14A and 14B extend radially outward from the shaft 16, each of which have a coupling and a connector positioned thereon. The connectors secure the arms to the shaft 16 for rotation therewith. One or more support arms 40 extend radially outward from the shaft 16 and are positioned between the arms 14A and 14B. Each of the support arms have a support arm coupling 42 and a support arm connector 41A and 41B positioned thereon. A spindle 28A is rotatably supported by the couplings 44A and 44B. The spindle 28 A is rotatably mounted in the support arm coupling 42 which cooperates with the support arm 40 to mitigate deflection of the first spindle in response to forces applied thereto.
