PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing filming on end part sides of a developer carrier.SOLUTION: A developing device includes a developer carrier 41 that carries a developer on the surface, a developer supply member 42 that is brought into contact with the surface of the developer carrier 41 to supply a developer on the developer carrier 41, and an end part seal 50 that is brought into contact with each end part side of the developer carrier 41. The developer supply member 42 includes a core material 42a, and an elastic layer 42c bonded to an outer periphery of the core material 42a. When the end part seals 50 are brought into contact respectively with the end parts of the elastic layer 42c of the developer supply member 42, non-contact areas E not in contact with the core material 42a are provided, which are areas extending over a predetermined range from both end parts of the elastic layer 42c in contact with the end part seals 50. |
