The present invention relates to a selective adsorption of organic materials using magnetic hybrid nanoparticles and, more specifically, to a magnetic oil adsorbent, wherein magnetic metal particles, and one or more materials selected from carbon nanotubes and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) are sequentially coated on the surface of silica nanoparticles; and to a method for removing oil using the same. The magnetic oil adsorbent according to the present invention has excellent adsorptivity to oil, and an oil-silica gel gelated after oil adsorption is magnetic so as to be easily collected using a magnetic body, and thus it is possible to selectively remove only oil from oil-containing media.
