A system for providing a chatting service according to the present invention comprises: a chatting service server to generate a chatting room corresponding to at least one or more broadcast channels, and provide the chatting service between at least two or more users through the chatting room; and a TV to search for a wireless terminal of a user who is available for data communications when a chatting application is executed by the user, execute the chatting application installed in the wireless terminal of the user, and then connect the chatting application and the chatting application installed in the wireless terminal of the user, wherein the TV identifies channel information of a broadcast which is being outputted, transmits, to the chatting service server, the channel information and identification information of the user, and receives chatting room information corresponding to the channel information from the chatting service server to allow the user to access to the corresponding chatting room. |
