[Class 38 (v)] Depression of a push button 31 automatically or by hand carries two compression members 16, 17 past a dead centre position with respect to a tension member 11 connecting their ends so that this snaps upwards and, for example, removes contacts 18, 19 from fixed contacts 40 ; the member 11 remains in its upper position when the button 31 returns and can only be reset by another button 43. The members 16, 17 may consist of two tongues cut out of the spring 11 and their inner ends may pivot about notches in the ends 32 of a spring attached to the push button 31.
