The machine (1) has a carousel (2) for conveying containers (5). A labeling assembly (3) is detachably positioned at a periphery (P) of the carousel above an underframe (4), which is positioned at the carousel. A linear displacement unit (6) is arranged between the labeling assembly and the underframe. The labeling assembly is displaceable relative to the underframe from a working position into a resting position by the displacement unit so that a protection device attached at the machine is retracted between a conveying region (F) of the carousel and the labeling assembly. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing a labeling machine. |
