<p>The present invention relates to an electromechanical damper for a vehicle that is used for damping mechanical vibration generated between two components. The mechanical vibration allows a driving torque to be transmitted to a generator so that a damping force is generated. A damper (18) is provided with a first gear unit and a second gear unit (26, 28), and the gear units are planetary gear units including ring gears, planetary gears, and sun gears in the electromechanical damper. A stator housing (20) is integrated in the first gear unit (26) and the second gear unit (28) as a gear unit element. A rotor (22) of the generator is connected to the sun gears (40 or 44) of the respective planetary gear units on both front surfaces. The ring gears (30, 32), the planetary gears (38, 42), and the sun gears (40, 44) have helical gears arranged at an angle with respect to an axial direction of both of the gear units (26, 28). The helical gears are arranged to face both of the sun gears (40, 44).</p> |
