An industrial lift truck 1 having an operator housing 3, controls, means for propulsion, and a mast assembly 4 with forks 5, the mast assembly 4 being tiltable, and a tilt measuring device 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 mounted between the operator housing 3 and the mast 4, for gauging the tilt angle of the mast 4 and for giving a visual indication of this to the operator. The tilt measuring device 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 may comprise a flexible cable 9 attached at one end 10 to the roll-cage 3 of the housing, and at the other to a weight 7 which can move within a guide 6 to indicate tilt angle. The cable may run over a pulley 8 secured to the mast 4. The guide 6 and/or weight 7 may be provided with markings to further provide visual indication of tilt angle to the operator. |
