A cable tie 1, possibly made from paper, cards or the like, comprising an elongate strap 3 having teeth 4 and a lead portion 5, and a head 2 provided with at least one aperture 6, 7 for receiving the strap 5. In use a loop configuration (see fig 4c) is formed so as to inhibit withdrawal of strap 3 from head 2. Cable tie 1 comprises at least one portion which is tearable so as to break the loop configuration. The inclusion of adhesives and coatings / coverings are also described. A method of using a cable tie and a method of installing wiring to an aircraft component are also provided. |
