<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal crimping method which allows for simplification of the shape of a terminal and a strand pressure compressed and integrated.SOLUTION: When crimping a terminal 5 by means of a terminal crimping device 1, a crimper 31 is pressed against the upper surface of a wire barrel 51, and then the front end of the wire barrel 51 is pressure compressed. Subsequently, while pressing the crimper 31 against the upper surface of a wire barrel 51, a crimper 32 is pressed and the central part of the wire barrel 51 in the longitudinal direction is pressure compressed. Subsequently, while pressing the crimpers 31, 32 against the upper surface of a wire barrel 51, a crimper 33 is pressed against the upper surface of a wire barrel 51, and the rear end of the wire barrel 51 is pressure compressed. Thereafter, while pressing the crimpers 31-33 against the upper surface of a wire barrel 51, a crimper 34 is pressed against the upper surface of an insulation barrel 52, and the insulation barrel 52 is pressure compressed together with a core wire.</p> |
