PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun shade device capable of preventing a lid from opening and closing other than when a shade is taken out and is put in while opening and closing the lid in synchronization with putting in/taking out of the shade. SOLUTION: The device includes a shade 16 and an housing case 18 for housing the shade 16. The housing case 18 includes a winding shaft 17 capable of winding the shade 16, a drawing out port 31 allowing the shade 16 to be drawn out, a lid 40 mounted in the housing case 18 to be turnable between a closing position where the drawing out port 31 is closed and an opening position where the drawing out port 31 is opened, and a torsion spring 43 for biasing the lid 40 to the opening position side. The shade 16 includes a grip knob 50 for pressing the lid 40 with winding of the shade 16 by a winding shaft 17. The lid 40 is pressed by the grip knob 50, and thereby the lid 40 is turned to the closing position against a biasing force to the opening position side of the torsion spring 43.
