PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech output device capable of performing speech output easy for a user to listen, by automatically switching the acoustic properties of a speech to output, in accordance with whether or not the user wears a hearing aid.SOLUTION: A portable telephone terminal 100 comprises: a speech output unit 104 for outputting a speech; a storage unit 514 which stores setting of at least two acoustic properties with respect to the acoustic properties of the speech to output from the speech output unit; a drive circuit unit 552 for driving the speech output unit by using the acoustic properties stored in the storage unit 514; a detector 512 for detecting a hearing aid; and a controller 511 for determining whether or not the user is using the hearing aid in accordance with a result of the detection by the detector 512, and performs control to change the acoustic properties to be used by the drive circuit unit 552. |
